Carla Franchina joined Hartley Healy in February 2010 as an administration clerk while completing her law degree; she then worked with our team as a legal secretary and in 2014 joined our professional team as a Specialist Family Law Solicitor.
Carla was admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland in October 2013 after graduating with honours from Bachelor of Laws at the Queensland University of Technology and completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at The College of Law. She is also admitted to practice as a solicitor in the High Court of Australia.
Carla has conducted research on contemporary family law issues involving children and has also assisted in the preparation of complex property matters for Trial. She has provided assistance to partners Brett and Joe and other senior members of the team in a variety of family law matters and through this work has gained significant knowledge and understanding of the practical application of family law in a range of circumstances.
Carla is committed to the Hartley Healy philosophy of working as a united team to resolve client’s matters quickly and cost effectively to minimise their emotional and financial stress. She has maintained her position at Hartley Healy over the years because she has a passion for family law and a desire to guide clients through a difficult time by delivering expert service and advice.
Carla is dedicated to volunteering and is currently a volunteer solicitor at Women’s Legal Service in Brisbane. She has also prepared case notes for the Family Law Practitioner’s Association of Queensland Case Watch Program which provides FLPA members with a brief insight into significant recent cases.
