Deanna is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of QLD and High Court of Australia and has completed a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Science studies at James Cook University in Townsville. After initially wanting to pursue a career in Environmental Law, Deanna quickly formed a strong passion for all aspects of Family and Business Law.

To assist in her practice as a Family and Business Lawyer, Deanna has begun a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Conflict management and resolution at James Cook University. Deanna has advised clients on:

  • Marriage
  • Divorce
  • Property entitlements in a marriage or De Facto separation
  • Same-sex relationships
  • Divorce
  • Parenting Arrangements Post Separation
  • Spousal Maintenance and Child Support
  • Adoption
  • Domestic Violence
  • Child Protection

Deanna is aware of the adverse impact that litigation can have on families, so has developed a unique and holistic approach to her matters to ensure that there is an atmosphere of honesty, integrity, cooperation with the view that court intervention be a last resort for her clients. Deanna endeavours to ensure that her clients receive excellent practical and realistic advice when approached with any of their legal issues. Deanna has been a Townsville local for 25 years and knows and understands the importance of being involved in the community that she loves. As such, Deanna remains heavily involved in:

  • A volunteer at the Townsville Community Legal Centre
  • A member of the Townsville District Lawyers Association
  • A member of the North Queensland Women’s Association
  • A participant in the women’s local soccer competition
  • A participant of Social basketball
  • A participant in the women’s local Rugby Union competition
