Appearing both led and unled, Anton has extensive advocacy experience in the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme, District and Local Courts of New South Wales, the Family Court of Australia, and the New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal. He has also appeared in the New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Social Security Appeals Tribunal.
He holds a PhD in Patent Law, and his thesis analysed the complex issue of whether software should be patentable. Anton also holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Deakin University in Melbourne and the University of Tasmania, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering, majoring in Computer Systems from the University of Queensland. Anton is the founder of Tiro, a practice management software system for barristers. His technological experience is bolstered by his previous career as a computer programmer and information systems manager at large corporations in Melbourne and Hobart.
