Josh is the current deputy chair of the criminal law section of the Law Institute of Victoria. He is also a partner at Doogue O'Brien George Defence Lawyers and is the firm's in-house counsel. As a specialist trial lawyer, Josh has an extensive experience in cross-examining witnesses, speaking before juries, and making legal submissions to judges. He is an expert at providing criminal defence for indictable crimes, including murder, terrorism, and sexual offences. Josh has appeared multiple times at public hearings of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuses. He regularly appears in County Court jury trials for pleas of not guilty, bail applications, appeals, and other legal matters.
