Born and raised in Tasmania, Lara moved to WA in 1999 after completing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Tasmania. Soon after, Lara took up a role as a judge’s associate in the Family Court of Western Australia.
Now, as a partner at Clairs Keeley, she practices family law collaboratively; helping negotiate agreements between parties before relationships start or after relationships (both marital and de facto) reach an end. Lara assists clients in negotiating financial agreements, child support and parenting responsibilities as well as advising on estate planning in the context of a relationship. Lara works closely with accountants, financial planners and family counsellors to achieve durable, viable settlements for clients.
