Lucia Taylor is an Associate and Senior Family Lawyer with Purcell Taylor Lawyers. She specialises in property settlements, pre-nuptial agreements, binding financial agreements, children’s matters, divorce, child support, and domestic violence orders.
Lucia also has expertise in resolving matters involving complex financial arrangements including companies, trust and SMSFs and can provide comprehensive advise in a timely manner to clients on their entitlements pursuant to the Family Law Act.
Lucia completed her Bachelor of Laws (QUT) in 1991 and has practised Family Law in Townsville since 1991. She was appointed a Senior Case Officer with the Child Support Agency where she held this position from 1993 to 2013. Lucia’s extensive knowledge of Child Support allows her to provide client’s with Child Support issues to explore a number of options when resolving issues with their former partner of the Child Support Agency.
Lucia is a qualified Mediator and has formal accreditation in Collaborative Law. Lucia was recently appointed a Senior Counsellor for the Queensland Law Society.
Lucia is a Volunteer lawyer for the Townsville Community Legal Service and was previously a committee member for over 10 years where she was President for 3 years. She is a member of the Towsville District Law Association, Queensland Law Society, North Queensland Women’s Legal Service, Family Law Practitioners Association and the Law Council. She has held various positions on Boards and Committees relating to her 3 children’s schooling and sporting interests.
She is also a member of the Headspace Committee Network and Zonta International.
