Mark works on a mix of front-end and back-end construction matters for his clients. In 2010, Mark prepared a successful combined State and Federal government tender for a developer client worth over $30 million. Mark has run successful claims for home owners, developers and builders in the NCAT, Local, District and Supreme Court in relation to complex building defect claims.

Mark acts for builder and developer clients in defective works claims, complex building defect disputes and recovery of progress claims on interim and final bases in all jurisdictions in New South Wales. Mark also advised on one of the leading authorities on section 88K easements which was recently head in the Court of Appeal.

Mark also has experience in drafting complex commercial agreements. Mark drafted the standard form contracts for the New South Wales peak industry, not-for-profit associations in the motor trade and boating industries which are used by over 5000 businesses state-wide. Mark has recently advised clients and negotiated construction contracts for mixed residential and commercial use exceeding $120 million. Mark approaches transactions using his dispute resolution experience and quickly identifies potential issues in drafting which frequently arise in building and construction disputes.
