Maya is an Accredited Family Law Specialist and collaborative lawyer who has practised exclusively in family law for over ten years.
In 2015, "Doyle's Guide to the Australian Legal Market" ranked Maya as "Recommended" of leading New South Wales family lawyers.
Prior to joining Pearson Emerson Meyer, Maya was one of the founding directors of Meyer Partners Family Lawyers.
Maya has successfully represented clients in all areas of family law. She has acted for parties in complex financial cases involving high net worth, family company and trust structures and valuation issues. She has acted in matters with an international aspect including child abduction cases involving the Hague Convention. Maya has also drafted and advised many clients on financial agreements including prenuptial agreements.
Maya combines empathy with a sensible and pragmatic approach to the resolution of family law matters and is committed to achieving the best possible outcome for her clients, whether in or our of Court.
Maya is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, Women Lawyers Association of New South Wales, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collaborative Professionals (NSW) Inc and the Central Sydney Collaborative Forum.
