Doyles Guide

I am a barrister at Blackburn Chambers in Canberra and the current Vice President of the Canberra Regional Family Law Professionals Association.

I have worked in family law in since February 2009. My experience covers matters involving children’s living arrangements, spousal maintenance, family violence, child support, care and protection matters, criminal law, appeals, and property disputes. I was an Accredited Specialist in Family Law from 2015 and was called to the bar in February 2018.

I appear in the Family Court, the Federal Circuit Court and the ACT Magistrates and Children’s Court regularly on behalf of our clients at Legal Aid ACT. I am a qualified Independent Children's Lawyer and undertake that role regularly.

My focus is strategic and thorough advocacy for our clients combined with a sensible approach to negotiations to focus clients to resolve their family law disputes.

I am a former In House Counsel and Head of Practice for Legal Aid ACT's Family Law Section. This involved managing a section of 7 solicitors and 5 paralegals whilst undertaking the high level advocacy required by the practice.
