Kelli was born in Manchester, England and moved to Australia in 1991. She completed secondary school education at Matthew Flinders Anglican College on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
Kelli then went on to study a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2003, after which she commenced her Bachelor of Laws at Queensland University of Technology.
In 2006, Kelli was offered an internship in Manchester, England and subsequently took a year out of her Bachelor studies and took a paralegal role in the litigation team.
She returned to her legal studies in late 2006 and in 2008 completed her Bachelor of Laws at Queensland University of Technology and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the College of Law Queensland.
Kelli commenced working in the practice areas Family and Criminal Law in late 2006 and has been working predominantly in these areas since.
She was admitted as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia in June 2008.
In March 2009, she moved to Essex, England and began working at Plexus Law in Colchester & in 2010 she was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales.
Kelli returned to Brisbane to practice in January 2011.
Kelli founded KLM Solicitors in early March 2015 with just two staff in one office. The firm has now grown to 17 staff members across three offices in Nundah, Cleveland and Maroochydore, Queensland. Kelli currently specialises in Family, Criminal, Domestic Violence matters. Kelli works across a range of Legal Aid and Private matters in both Brisbane and the regional courts.
Kelli is also engaged in community legal work with Women's Legal Service on a regular basis and is heavily involved in Charity work with various Domestic Violence prevention and education organisations.
