Theresa Moltoni OAM is the Managing Director of IRIQ Law and a Legal Practitioner
Theresa’s experience spans more than 25 years and covers a wide range of high level roles in a number of industry sectors. Theresa was awarded an OAM for service to Industrial Relations in the 2016 Queens Birthday Honours.
Theresa is President (and Non-Executive Director) of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Queensland (CCIQ). Theresa also Chairs the Workplace Relations Policy Council for the Australian Chamber of Commerce (ACCI) and sits on a number of other Boards.
Theresa is the Founding Chair of the Dancing CEOs annual event which raises money for vital support services for victims of domestic violence. Theresa also founded and has chaired the well-respected Workplace Relations Interest Group at The Brisbane Club for some years and recently co-founded its new Legal Interest Group.
Theresa is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a member of the Queensland Law Society, a certified Workplace Investigator and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. She has served as the Vice President of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland (IRSQ) and in the Queensland Community as a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) since August 1992 including a significant period actively participating in the “Justices in the Community” Program.
Theresa’s background includes:
- 4 years at WorkPac as HR/IR Director and then CEO
- 4 years as Global Head of HR at leading retailer Super Retail Group
- 11 years at Telstra, the last 6 as Qld State HR Manager for Telstra’s Mobile Communications Group
- Regional Manager of the Office of the Employment Advocate (Workplace Authority) Queensland
- Qld HR Manager for Franklins Supermarkets
Theresa holds a Bachelor of Laws from USQ and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law. Theresa was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland on 2 May 2017 and the High Court of Australia on 12 January 2018. Theresa also holds a Certificate in Investigative Services.
Theresa is a unique lawyer given her substantial practical and commercial experience across large (and small) private and publicly listed companies as well as State and Commonwealth public sector organisations before completing her legal qualifications.
