Tracy Madden is an Associate of Slater and Gordon Lawyers and an experienced litigator. Tracy has worked in asbestos litigation for over 20 years in a lawyer and support capacity. “I have been involved in more than 500 claims; from former James Hardie and Wunderlich workers, to wives who washed their husband’s clothes, and people exposed as children in home renovations. I never cease to be surprised by the many ways in which people are exposed to asbestos”.
Tracy’s priority is to achieve the best result for her clients, with the minimum amount of stress. She has a warm friendly manner and is sensitive to her client’s needs.
“I have had many years’ experience representing and supporting people with Mesothelioma and Lung Cancer and their families”
Tracy is passionate about the need to educate people about the ongoing dangers of exposure to asbestos. She regularly speaks to groups and organisations about the hazards of asbestos exposure.
“It worries me that this weekend, someone will pull out asbestos cement sheets as part of a renovation and unwittingly expose themselves to asbestos”.
Outside of work, Tracy is married with teenage children and is a keen walker who has walked the Upstream Foundation Charity walk (50km) and the Oxfam 100km Trailwalker event. “My goal is to walk the Camino de Santiago which is about 780kms”.
