Alana is a Solicitor at Edwards Family Lawyers. Alana completed a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Social Science (Humanitarian and Peace Studies) at the University of Western Sydney in 2013 and then completed her Diploma of Legal Practice in 2015 at the College of Law. Alana was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in April 2015.
Alana has always had a keen interest in Family Law and has worked as a legal secretary/paralegal exclusively in Family Law since 2009. Alana joined Edwards Family Lawyers in September 2013 and has worked closely with the Principal, Frances Edwards, in a range of complex matters including complex financial matters, parenting and relocation, both in negotiated resolutions and court determined matters.
Alana regularly appears at the Federal Circuit Court and Family Law Court.
Alana has excellent skills in managing a client’s obligations to make a full and frank disclosure; in analysing the disclosure provided by the other party to ensure there are no discrepancies and doing all that is necessary to unravel the financial puzzle to create a complete balance sheet of the assets and liabilities.
Alana approaches each matter in a sympathetic, understanding and sensible manner. Alana understands the unique nature of Family Law and her clients and works with her clients to guide them through their matter to reach a resolution and outcome that is in their best interests.
