Doyles Guide

Andrew has been involved in the practice of criminal law for over 25 years. Andrew was previously a partner at one of Australia’s largest criminal law firms, but since 2010 he has fronted his own firm with Campbell MacCallum and Antonious Abdelshahied providing specialist criminal defence and family law services.

As one of Queensland’s first Accredited Specialists in criminal law, Andrew is recognised by his peers and the Queensland Law Society (QLS) as an expert in his field. Andrew was the first accredited specialist in criminal law on the Gold Coast, and only one of the few who are based outside of Brisbane. He is listed as a leading criminal lawyer with Doyle's Guide.

He is a member of the QLS Criminal Law section committee. In June 2016 the QLS recognised Andrew's 25 years service as a Solicitor.

A Gold Coast resident since 1994 Andrew has provided advice and representation to those who find themselves being prosecuted by the police and other government agencies. His practice has grown from local representation to other areas of Queensland, Northern New South Wales and other parts of Australia.

With his breadth of experience Andrew handles complex cases of all types whether they be “white collar” crime, sexual offences, offence of violence, property offences, driving offences, serious drug offences or commonwealth offences. If you are in trouble he can handle it.

Andrew regularly appears as an advocate in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts. Andrew also represented clients at the Crime and Corruption Commission and in the Australian Crime Commission.

Andrew also accepts instructions in relation to prosecution by Government Agencies such as Workplace Health and Safety, Workcover, Office of Fair Trading, City Councils and The Australian Taxation Office.
