Andrew is the senior founding partner at Williams Barristers and Solicitors. Most recently a Barrister and Solicitor with a leading criminal defence firm, he brings a wealth of experience to the practice.

A Prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions from 2000 to 2006, he appearing as counsel in all jurisdictions and has significant trial experience.

Andrew’s experience and expertise were recognized in his appointment as an International Legal Adviser to the Solomon Islands Government, assisting Restoration of Law and Justice Processes and Institutions following a civil war. Between 2006 and 2012 he provided legal advice, training and specialist criminal advocacy.

With over 22 years experience as a police officer before qualifying as a lawyer, he knows the ins and outs of police investigation methods and procedures. A former tutor at Flinders University Law School, he has excellent legal knowledge and understanding.

Andrew’s experience in a range of positions across the legal field provides our clients with the benefit of in-depth legal and investigative knowledge, advocacy and negotiation skills. Andrew has focussed on defending criminal and traffic matters where he uses his broad experience to provide strong representation and to achieve the best result for each client.
