Dan works as a senior consultant and lawyer from our Ballarat office. It’s a position he’s really made his own, having forged a legal career in Ballarat over many years firstly as the solicitor in charge of the local franchise of a major national law firm and then as principal of his own law firm.
A local of 30 years who has raised four children in Ballarat, Dan was one of the first accredited personal injury law specialists in Victoria when the qualification was established in the early 90s by the Law Institute of Victoria, as a mark of excellence. The qualification establishes Dan as one of the most experienced plaintiff lawyers working in personal injury law including WorkCover and TAC. He also advises clients in asbestos compensation.
Dan is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Australian Lawyers Alliance and also a past member of the American Trial Lawyers Association having attended ATLA conferences in the United States.
Outside the law, Dan has always sought to give back to the Ballarat community through his volunteer work and board positions. As a sports enthusiast, he was for many years on the board of the WestVic Academy of Sport, which was established as a feeder organisation for the Victorian Institute of Sport. His interest in this area was a desire to help talented young sportspeople progress from junior ranks to elite senior competition.
Dan has a strong commitment to social justice and welfare and has served on the board of the social welfare agency, CentaCare Ballarat, and is currently the Chair of CentaCare Housing.
