Grant has over 20 years’ experience in local government, town planning and environmental law.

Although a strong leader with the ability to influence and negotiate, Grant’s ethical and professional approach has made him a respected authority in Planning and Environmental Law.

As Lake Macquarie City Council’s Town Planner and Legal Counsel for many years, Grant has a unique understanding and ‘inside experience’ in local government administration, planning, development and environmental matters.

As an expert in his field, Grant has gained the respect and trust of clients and his peers. He has taught Planning and Environmental Law with the Centre for the Local Government, UTS Sydney and the University of Newcastle.

In addition, Grant has prepared and presented internal training sessions for government and private clients. With the ability to act in matters of the High Court of Australia, Grant has acted in the Land and Environment Court, Supreme Court, District Court, Local Court and Tribunals. Grant has also been appointed as an independent expert to the Independent Hearing and Assessment Panels.
