Doyles Guide

"IP litigation can be a bit like cricket: sometimes you need some big T20 hitting, scoring runs quickly before the opposition can react. Other times a more measured, Test Match approach is required, accumulating the runs slowly to grind down the opposition. Whether its aggressive strokeplay or a forward defensive, I'm ready to go into bat for the client. With commercial work, the ideal outcome is a team of people working towards a common goal of commercializing the technology. Too many ventures fail because they don't get advice at the beginning. Start as you mean to go on with proper agreements in place."

I have been working in the area of Intellectual Property for more than 25 years, including 11 years running my own practice.

My clients range from large companies to individual inventors and my areas of expertise include; litigation and dispute resolution, enforcement of intellectual property rights, IP licensing and commercialisation, IT and internet agreements and general intellectual property advice.

I am a member of the Licensing Executives Society of Australia and New Zealand and the current chair of the WA Committee.
