Jacinda Rennie graduated from the University of Waikato in 1996 with a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours. She initially worked in areas of litigation including civil, criminal and employment as well as family law in New Plymouth, before travelling overseas. Jacinda moved to Wellington in 2003 and after a short period working in general litigation, has specialised in Family Law since 2005. Jacinda has been approved by the Family Court to represent children and is also on the panel of lawyers who can be appointed by the Central Authority on Hague Convention matters. Jacinda is a co-author of “Relationship Property and Adult Maintenance” published by Thomson Reuters. Jacinda was voted as being one of New Zealand’s pre-eminent family lawyers in Doyle's Guide.
