Doyles Guide

John graduated from the University of Auckland and was admitted as a solicitor in New Zealand in 2007. He commenced practising as a solicitor in NSW when he arrived in Australia in 2008 and holds a Master of Laws degree from the Australian National University. John began his legal career as a Police Prosecutor conducting prosecutions in various Local Courts in NSW and the Children’s Court in Parramatta. Through daily court appearances, conducting lists, sentence hearings, defended hearings and bail hearings, John has developed a confident and persuasive style of advocacy. In 2014, John became a State Prosecutor for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (NSW) and conducted prosecutions in serious criminal matters including murder, armed robbery, major drug hearings and sexual assault cases. Using his diverse experience in both summary and indictable matters, John is now a strong defence advocate, providing clients with honest and expert legal advice, obtaining acquittals for clients wrongly charged by the police or minimum sentences for clients through excellent plea mitigation.  John is fluent in English and Korean.
