Melanie Findlay is the Rees R & Sydney Jones Solicitors Energy, Environment & Agribusiness Partner. Melanie brings over a decade of experience to her role working with grazing and farming clients. Melanie has a particular interest in water trading and water markets as well as a passion for protecting the rights of agricultural people when dealing with resource companies or when dealing with land resumption. In 2012, Melanie became a Partner at Rees R & Sydney Jones. Melanie is currently a member of the QLS Mining and Resources Committee and the Secretary of Capricorn Catchments (which provides assistance to landowners for on farm projects). Melanie is also the Secretary of the Queensland Rural and Remote Fund which provides grants to regional families to assist with remote child education costs. Melanie is completing her Masters of Law in Environment and Resource Law through QUT.
