Rebekah Bassano is the Principal and sole practitioner of Bassano Law. She has been practising in the family law arena for over 10 years.
After being admitted as a solicitor and barrister in Tasmania in 2003, Rebekah moved to Cairns in late 2006 to work as a family lawyer. By working in the both the corporate and community legal sectors, Rebekah has assisted clients in separation, divorce, child matters and property settlements. In keeping with her personal service and dynamic approach to client matters, in March 2014 Bassano Law was opened to provide clients with quality legal advice at an affordable price.
As family law, domestic and family violence issues and child protection concerns all are very sensitive and emotional times for everyone involved, Rebekah’s approachable manner provides clients with a safe environment to be able to tell their story in their own time and own words. Rebekah is a down to earth solicitor who prides herself on her attention to detail and friendly way she deals with clients and their needs. She also understands that these matters need to be done in a holistic and collaborative way.
As well as being a solicitor, Rebekah has a passion and commitment to ensuring that she is up-to-date with legal, ethical and community matters. In 2010 she completed the College of Law’s Master of Law (Family law), which demonstrates her commitment to having a greater understanding and expertise in family law. Rebekah also has a keen interest for negotiation and dispute resolution and as such she completed the Clayton Utz Intensive Negotiations skills training in 2013. In 2015, Rebekah became a qualified Family Law Arbitrator.
