After completing a combined Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws Degree at the University of Tasmania in 1990, Ros was admitted to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 1992. Ros worked with a legal firm on the northwest coast of Tasmania early in her career, commencing with PWB Lawyers in 1994. Ros became a principal of the firm in July 2000.

Ros’ expertise in family law includes dealing with property and children’s issues, divorce, child support, maintenance and de facto relationships, together with child welfare issues.

Ros also practises in the area of estate administration, Wills and Powers of Attorney.

Over the years Ros has served on the panel of independent children’s lawyers within the Family Court, Federal Circuit Court and Child Welfare jurisdiction. Ros is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
