Sally is a Special Counsel in the Melbourne Family Law team and has over 15 years experience dealing with all aspects of family law matters. She was Accredited as a Family Law Specialist in 2003. Sally has acquired a broad range of experience in all areas of family law and de facto/domestic relationship property disputes. She has also gained practical "hands on" experience in preparing complex property and financial matters as well as child related disputes.


Sally has expertise in conducting a variety of family law cases in the Magistrates Court (including applications for intervention orders under the Family Violence Protection Act); in the Family Court (including instructing in an appeal to the Full Court) and the Federal Circuit Court in respect of property, maintenance, child support and child related/parenting disputes (including relocation cases).   She also has particular expertise in private mediation and negotiating disputes prior to litigation by taking a commercial and pragmatic approach to problem solving to ensure cost effective outcomes for her clients.

Sally has extensive practical experience in conducting complex family law matters including those with large asset pools, difficult valuation disputes; applications involving third parties, questions of jurisdiction and international related issues; various property and personal protection injunctions; spousal maintenance and child support departure cases and drafting child support and financial agreements.

As part of Sally’s practice she liaises with a variety of professionals associated with family law matters including junior and senior counsel, accountants, valuers, counsellors, psychologists and other health professionals.
