Tanya came late to law, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (first class honours) from Murdoch University in 2007. Tanya completed her articles with Julian and was admitted to practice in February 2009.
In her previous ‘life’ Tanya was a registered nurse and midwife, initially undertaking hospital-based training and then obtaining a nursing degree, a postgraduate qualification in public health and specialist qualifications in reproductive health and quality reviewing for community based health services.
Tanya has a broad background in health, having worked in the public and private health sectors, and in both remote (Christmas Island) and community based settings. She has experience in general, paediatric, neonatal, obstetric and mental health nursing, and particularly specialised in women’s health.
Tanya is married with 3 children and says that age is irrelevant for the purposes of this bio! Outside of the workplace she hones her language skills with word puzzles, has a penchant for entering competitions and enjoys long walks along the coast. She also enjoys golf, but never has the time to play anymore.
