Laura O’Gorman, Bankside Chambers

Laura O’Gorman has over 23 years of experience in a broad range of general commercial litigation, including specialist expertise in insolvency matters, judicial review and statutory appeals, Fair Trading and Commerce Act claims, media law, cross-border issues and contractual disputes.

She appears regularly in the High Court and Court of Appeal, and also acts for clients in mediations, expert determinations and arbitrations.

Throughout her career Laura has maintained a special interest in technology, being an early adopter of tools to make litigation more efficient and effective. Over the years she has been actively involved in law society matters (including as a council member for ADLS and NZLS).  She has served on the Rules Committee since 2013. Other ongoing memberships include RITANZ and AWLA (Auckland Women Lawyers’ Association).
