Josh McKenzie is one of two Directors at McKenzie McLoughlin Criminal Lawyers, which has offices both on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and also the Sydney CBD.
Josh has extensive experience in all forms of criminal, traffic and AVO matters. As a Criminal Defence Lawyer who was previously a Prosecutor and Criminal Investigator for many years, he can provide complete legal advice and representation from an ‘all perspectives’ approach, which in turn provides a significant advantage for his clients.
In terms of his background in criminal law, Josh initially joined the Police Prosecutions Command where he has appeared in thousands of matters across the State over many years. Josh was the Senior Prosecutor at various Courts across Sydney, including Manly Local Court for approximately five years. He was also a member of the Major Incident Legal Advice Group, providing specialised legal advice and assistance in respect of high profile incidents and events in NSW.
After years of Prosecuting and advancing his skills as a Court advocate, Josh joined a Sydney Detective’s office where he further advanced his knowledge and experience in relation to criminal investigation techniques, a set of skills which sets him apart from many of his peers who have not ever worked as a criminal investigator.
