Pania Watt, Bourke Legal
Pania Watt is a Director at Bourke Legal.
Pania Watt has built a strong reputation in workers compensation for plaintiffs in NSW, being named in the Doyle’s Guide as a Recommended Plaintiff Workers Compensation Lawyer in New South Wales in 2022, 2025 and 2026. Pania’s practice is heavily focused on work injury damages claims, and she has a particular interest in work related PTSD claims for NSW Paramedics and Firefighters. She is known for her communicative, efficient, and direct approach.
Pania graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Laws in 2009 whilst working full-time as a Law Clerk and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in March 2010.
Pania began working alongside Brendan in 2004, initially at Northern Rivers firm Stone & Partners, and then at Bourke Love McCartney Young from 2005 to 2009.
Pania began her practice in plaintiff insurance work at Bourke Love Lawyers after admission in 2010 and has been a Director of Bourke Legal since 2021. Over her career, Pania has worked in every position in a law practice from office junior to director, which means she has an excellent understanding and appreciation for the work required to get a case from A to B.
“I get a great sense of satisfaction out of helping people who’ve been injured get back on their feet again and regain control of their lives,” says Pania. “I enjoy seeing my clients empowered by the knowledge they gain to ensure that they, or their loved ones, won’t be in the dark about their rights or entitlements in the future.”
After practising in Ballina for 10+ years, Pania has headed up the firm’s office at Kingscliff since 2018. She loves the sunny vibe at Kingy and feels very fortunate to be able to go to work beachside each day.
Pania is a member of the NSW Law Society, the Far North Coast Law Society and is an Approved Legal Services Provider with IRO (Independent Review Office).
