Sam Lewis is a Principal Director of Barker Evans.

 His practice encompasses parenting and property matters, including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, business interests, as well as parenting disputes involving relocation, family violence, risk issues and contested interim and final hearings.

 Sam regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and works closely with Senior Counsel, Counsel, forensic accountants, valuers and other experts in the conduct and resolution of complex family law matters.

 A significant proportion of Sam’s practice is derived from professional and client referrals. He has developed a reputation for providing clear, strategic and commercially pragmatic advice, with a strong focus on solutions. Where litigation is necessary, Sam adopts a decisive approach and regularly conducts complex and high conflict proceedings.

 As a Principal Director of Barker Evans, Sam plays a significant role in the leadership and development of the firm and its family law practice. He is particularly focused on maintaining a high standard of technical advice whilst mentoring junior lawyers.

 In a recent case determined by the Honourable, Aldrige J, Sam’s client received 95% of the known pool, and 100% of the equity available for division, against an Estate Administrator who had assumed the role of the Husband upon his death.
