Eric Maben, Challenger Law
I have represented high wealth individuals and privately owned groups (including in the ATO’s Top 500 and Next 5,000 programs), large multinationals and small to medium (SMEs) in a range of tax and commercial disputes. I am also a trusted advisors to a number of boutique and mid-tier accounting and business advisory firms.
I have a unique blend of government, private practice and in-house legal, disputes and tax experience, having worked across:
- government (with 10.5 years in the ATO where I was Principal Lawyer prior to leaving)
- two (2) years at another Melbourne based specialist boutique litigation & tax disputes firm, where I helped establish the tax practice with Tuan Van Le (Managing Director & Principal of Challenger Law); and
- almost eight (8) years at a large multinational where I was the Head of Legal for the Oceania region and led M&A, large local and international corporate restructures, all B2B contracts for the business (circa $1 billion per annum) and worked on a range of regulatory matters, including tax & competition law as well as the lead lawyer on large scale greenfield, supply chain, finance and building projects.
