Alistair has more than 25 years experience in corporate law and worked in London at various City law firms for 10 years before moving to Australia in 2004. After working at Minter Ellison and Swaab in Sydney, he joined Deutsch Miller in 2019 where his focus continues to be providing advice on M&A transactions, small cap IPOs, finance, and corporate governance to businesses in a wide range of industry sectors, including financial services, food distribution, IT services, digital advertising, freight and retail. He also has experience in non-contentious insolvency work, including administrations and pre-pack sale transactions. His clients include investors, family offices, scale-ups, family and owner-managed businesses, listed companies, corporate advisers and SMEs.
Alistair has presented seminars at the College of Law in Sydney and to the Governance Institute of Australia, and has written articles for the Family Business Australia magazine, Wholesale Investor Magazine and the Governance Institute of Australia journal.
He was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 1995 and in New South Wales in 2005.
In his spare time Alistair can be found running around trying to keep his 4 children entertained, indulging his limited creative talent by drawing kids cartoon characters in pavement chalk, mountain biking on various trails around Sydney, and keeping fit by playing (English) football to fill in the time until he is inevitably discovered by Arsenal.
