Bianca was called to the private Bar in October 2022 after an established career both in the public and private sector.
Her area of interest is predominately in health law including medical negligence, disciplinary proceedings / regulatory tribunals, inquiries / inquests and statutory tribunals, and investigations. She also has a broader personal injury practice and takes on matters in administrative and public law, and employment law. She regularly appears in pro bono matters for families at Coronial Inquests.
Before being called to the Bar, Bianca was an Associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth working across both the Health Law and Policy and Commercial Litigation teams where she acted on behalf of insurers in personal injury and medical negligence matters, assisted with investigations, and undertook a secondment as the Acting District Solicitor for a rural Hospital and Health Service.
In 2019, she was an Associate in the General Division of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Bianca also has a strong public service background having spent approximately 9 years working in health regulation with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency where she developed her interest in disciplinary matters and held leadership positions both in the registrations and compliance teams.
Bianca holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Business from Griffith University.
