Caitlin McGrath is a Senior Associate at Southern Waters Legal who practises exclusively in Family Law. She is a qualified Independent Children’s Lawyer and collaboratively trained Family Lawyer, with more than eight years of post-admission experience.

Caitlin advises and represents clients across a broad range of Family Law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce, spousal maintenance and child support matters.

Caitlin is committed to helping clients resolve family law disputes as efficiently, amicably and cost-effectively as possible. She provides clear and strategic advice tailored to each client’s circumstances and, where appropriate, seeks to resolve matters through negotiation, mediation and collaborative practice before commencing court proceedings.

As a qualified Independent Children’s Lawyer, Caitlin also has experience representing the interests of children in family law proceedings.

Caitlin graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics, in 2016. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. Caitlin was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2018 and is admitted to practise in the High Court of Australia.
