Carlos Gouveia is a special counsel in the corporate and commercial team.
His practice focus is primarily on major projects, construction, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes documenting and advising on major projects, project finance, corporate and commercial transactions, joint ventures and trust matters. Carlos is also a qualified chartered accountant with experience in tax law, including income tax, capital gains tax, goods and services tax, stamp duty, fringe benefits tax and tax reform.
His clients include corporations, state governments, councils, banks and mining companies.
As well as holding a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), Carlos has a Bachelor of Business in accountancy. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. Carlos joined the legal practice in 2016.
