Chelsea is a Senior Associate at Cornford-Scott Lawyers specialising in estate planning, complex and contested estate administration matters involving investigative administration and estate litigation matters.
Also acting in guardianship and administration matters before QCAT, Chelsea has been successful in investigating breaches of duties by attorneys under enduring powers of attorney documents (e.g., elder abuse, undue influence, and misappropriation of funds), declarations for capacity in circumstances where capacity is challenged, and the removal and appointment of administrators and guardians. Working closely with both national and international advisors, Chelsea ensures that her clients receive practical, clear and commercially focused advice.
Chelsea also provides direct support to Legal Practice Directors, Angela Cornford-Scott and Prue Poole during their court appointments as an independent administrators, litigation guardians and independent legal representatives.
Chelsea is an Affiliate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), a worldwide organisation guiding professional conduct and supports best practice and a full member of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland. Chelsea is also a Committee Member for the Queensland Law Society Succession Law Committee.
