I am a later in life lawyer, having developed an interest specifically in practising family law following my personal experience with the family law system in Australia. Admitted to practice as a solicitor in Queensland in 2016, I immediately focused on family law and for the last five years I have only taken on clients with family law and domestic violence matters.

After experiencing the profession as an employee of some boutique firms between 2017 and 2024, I took the step and established my own firm in September 2024 - Acute Family Law & Mediations.

In both my capacities as family lawyer and mediator, I am most interested in assisting parties in parenting disputes with complicating factors such as children with special needs, parental addiction issues and serious domestic and family violence. This interest allows me to utilise my complex problem solving skills, resourcefulness, trauma awareness and resilience. 

So far, I have had experience with a range of serious matters involving interstate and international relocation of children, parental rehabilitation from addiction to progress children's time with the formerly addicted parent, long-term family violence, and child sexual abuse allegations.
