Dominic acts principally for Tier 1 and Tier 2 infrastructure companies and commercial builders in a wide range of ‘front-end’ and ‘back-end’ matters, including all aspects of contract management and disputes.
Some of the recent infrastructure and construction matters Dominic has assisted clients with include:
- the Sydney and Melbourne Metro Tunnel Projects;
- the Major Road Project’s Victoria’s Big Build project;
- the development of prisons and a shopping centre;
- the Monash Freeway upgrade;
- the management and rehabilitation of a waste facility; and
- major arterial road works in multiple states throughout Australia.
Dominic also has extensive experience acting for both claimants and respondents in most Australian states in adjudications made under the relevant Security of Payment Act, and Dominic also has extensive experience in judicial appeals of Adjudication Determinations to the Supreme Court of Victoria.
Dominic acts for clients and appear in complex construction and geotechnical engineering matters in all Victorian Courts and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Dominic has experience in relation to Building Appeals Board matters and complaints made against construction professionals to the Victorian Building Authority. Dominic also acts for clients and appear in arbitrations (commercial, construction and infrastructure disputes).
Dominic has volunteered at a number of community legal centres providing pro bono legal advice and assistance to disadvantaged members of the community and those experiencing financial difficulties.
In 2021, Dominic was a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 under 30 awards in the category of Construction and Infrastructure.
