Mr. Matouk commenced his legal career in 1999 at a boutique city law firm Snelgrove and Partners practising in Commercial Law. In 2002, he commenced employment at Marsdens Law Group working exclusively in Criminal Law under the guidance of the late John Marsden as a solicitor advocate. The experience he gained was invaluable, placing him in a position to provide quality legal advice on a range of criminal matters.
Having defended clients charged with all forms of criminal offences (from shop theft to murder), Mr. Matouk has cemented his passion in criminal law and his desire to protect the rights of the individual.
Holding true to the legal principles of a fair trial and one's innocence until proven guilty, Mr. Matouk established the partnership in 2006. With experience in all jurisdictions, from the Children's Court to the Supreme Court, Mr Matouk continues his philosophy that all persons are entitled to a defence and as such represents his clients with force to obtain a just result for them. He is a member of the General & Serious Criminal Law panel at Legal Aid.
