Emily joined DDCS Lawyers in April 2017. She graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws with Honours in November 2013. She completed her legal training with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in May 2014 and was admitted as a solicitor of the ACT Supreme Court and High Court of Australia in June 2014. She regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the ACT Magistrates Court.
Prior to joining DDCS Lawyers in 2017, Emily spent five years at a national specialist family law firm in Canberra. She has worked in a law firm in country NSW where she dealt first hand with the needs of rural and regional clients. She also has experience in a large commercial law firm in Sydney which has given her a strong foundation for working with senior practitioners in complex financial matters.
Emily is passionate about family law. She is committed to providing the firm's clients with practical, cost-effective and empathetic solutions to their legal issues. Emily is an Accredited Specialist (NSW) in family law.
Emily is a member of the Women Lawyers' Association of the ACT and the Family Law Committee of the ACT Law Society.
