Evelyn Young, Mitchell family Law

Evelyn graduated from the University of Queensland in 2010 with a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Economics degree, and was admitted to practise in 2011. Since that time she has practised exclusively in family law, and has extensive experience in all aspects of family law including property disputes, children’s matters, de facto matters, financial agreements, spousal maintenance and child support. Her particular expertise is in surrogacy matters, and she has appeared for clients in surrogacy matters both within Australia and overseas.

Delivering the best possible outcomes to clients in a practical and cost effective manner is Evelyn’s overriding objective. She is a trained Collaborative Lawyer, and enjoys assisting clients with the Collaborative Practice process.

A keen writer, Evelyn has co-written a number of articles in the areas of surrogacy, as well as the impact of social media on family law. She was the joint winner of the 2015 LIV Rogers Legal Writing Award for the best contribution to the Law Institute Journal.
