Jane Keir is a partner in Kingsley Napley's Family & Divorce team.
Jane’s vast experience in the world of family law and her ability to deliver for her many clients mark her out as one of the most dynamic leaders in the world of high value and high profile divorce cases. Not only does she have all the skills necessary to obtain outstanding results for her clients, but her versatility and fabulous communication skills mean that she never loses sight of what her clients want and need.
Jane’s client base is wide and diverse and often includes not only the individual parties that she represents, but also their families and advisers in the form of trust lawyers, accountants and overseas advisers as many of her cases involve an international element, especially with the US.
Jane is highly strategic and innovative in her approach to resolving complex disputes. She excels at addressing seemingly intractable challenges for the financially weaker party where the funding of their legal costs may be an issue. She is the go-to on wealth protection on divorce and is often consulted by patriarchs and matriarchs alike looking to ensure that family wealth is passed seamlessly on to younger generations.
Jane led the firm’s family practice for 13 years before becoming Kingsley Napley’s Senior Partner from 2013 to 2018. She is a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, having spoken on international discovery at its US Chapter meeting in Charleston this year and she is a regular contributor to legal publications and the media. She is also a sought-after speaker and chairs the annual flagship conference for divorce litigation each November.
