Jason Cale is an admitted solicitor and mediator in New South Wales, predominantly practicing in commercial litigation, consumer law and dispute resolution.
He acts for both corporate and private clients in a range of contentious and advisory matters, including but not limited to contractual disputes, Australian Consumer Law claims, property disputes, estate litigation, and administrative law proceedings.
His experience includes matters before the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Local Court and the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Jason has particular experience advising in automotive industry disputes, motor insurance litigation, and Australian Consumer Law matters. He acts in disputes involving motor insurance, consumer guarantees, alleged major failures, contractual claims and regulatory issues, and provides ongoing advice regarding dispute management and compliance obligations.
His practice also includes commercial and retail leasing, conveyancing, wills and estate planning, criminal law, binding financial agreements and general commercial advice. He has been involved in contested probate proceedings, property litigation and court-ordered mediations, as well as the preparation and negotiation of commercial agreements and settlement documentation.
Before commencing legal practice, Jason held senior management positions within the automotive industry, where he was responsible for the management and resolution of consumer, contractual and regulatory disputes. That hands-on experience provides a practical commercial perspective that sets the foundations for his approach to litigation and dispute resolution.
Holding a Master of Laws with majors in Commercial Litigation and Mediation, Jason combines strong advocacy and dispute resolution skills with a practical understanding of commercial risk and business operations.
He is an AMDRAS Accredited Mediator, serves on the Resolution Institute Complaints Committee, and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.Â
