Jim Parke, Parke Lawyers

Jim Parke has practised law for over 30 years and has been Managing Director of Parke Lawyers since 1994.  Qualified to practise law throughout Australia and New Zealand, he is an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Law.  A leading Wills, Estates and Succession Planning Lawyer and Estate Litigation Lawyer, Mr Parke is also a Certified Practising Accountant.

Currently completing a Master of Science degree at the University of Oxford, he holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Master of Laws, a Master of Jurisprudence, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and a Graduate Diploma in Management.

Mr Parke is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, a fellow of CPA Australia, a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.  He is also a member of the Planning Institute of Australia and a member of the Australian College of Educators and regularly presents at continuing professional development seminars for lawyers and accountants.

Strongly community-minded, Jim Parke was the first Australian ever to hold the office of President of Crime Stoppers International. He has also previously served as Chairman of Crime Stoppers Australia, Chairman of Crime Stoppers Queensland, President of the Victims of Crime Association of Queensland and Deputy Chairman of Volunteering Australia.  He is a past President of the Victorian Division of the Institute of Mercantile Agents.
