Background
Justine joined Uther Webster & Evans in 2004, and holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Psychology.
Justine became a Partner of Uther Webster & Evans in 2015, and is now a Principal Director.
Justine is experienced in crime, commercial and corporate litigation, estate matters and estate litigation.
Areas of Practice
Justine predominantly practices in the following areas of law:
- Criminal Law: Justine has been involved in criminal matters since 2004, and is experienced in all aspects of crime, ranging from white collar crime, fraud, drug matters, sexual assaults, serious driving offences, assaults and AVO’s. Her work has been in all Courts, ranging from the Local Court through to the Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeal and the High Court of Australia.
- Commercial law: acting for individuals, directors of companies, liquidators, mortgagors, administrators and trustees in bankruptcy, providing advice in commercial litigation and complex corporate matters.
- Civil Litigation: acting in jurisdictions that include; Equity, Professional Negligence, Commercial and Corporate matters, proceedings in the Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court, Federal and Federal Magistrates Court, Court of Appeal and High Court.
- Estate litigation and Succession Planning: including estate disputes and family provision claims under the Succession Act as well as advice and drafting on Wills and Power of Attorneys.
