Kate is an Accredited Specialist in family law, with over 20 years’ experience as a family lawyer helping families navigate separation and complex legal issues with confidence, strategic advice, clarity and a compassionate human-centric approach.
Kate advises across all areas of family law, including complex parenting and financial matters involving high-conflict, family violence, allegations of abuse, parental alienation, and children with special/ complex needs, large asset pools, complex financial structures (including trusts, companies, businesses), maintenance, Financial Agreements (BFAs), including pre-nuptial Agreements, Binding Child Support Agreements, matters with international aspects, divorce, and all other aspects of family law.
Kate is an accredited AMDRAS mediator, accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP), and Collaboratively Trained Lawyer who regularly acts as a mediator, including for matters in litigation and those parties hoping to avoid Court, and is passionate about helping families navigate the challenging time of separation without going to Court and in a way that minimises the stress and impact on the family and particularly the children.
