With over 25 years experience as a lawyer, Mark has managed a range of complex matters in the Family Court, Federal Court, Federal Magistrates Court and each of the State Courts as well as various Tribunals including the Anti-Discrimination Commission and Queensland Industrial Relations Commission.
Mark also has a particular interest in mediation and in employment law and discrimination law and has represented a broad range of clients in litigation and/or mediated solutions to resolve complex legal issues.
Mark was a member of the Legal Services Commission Reference Group from 2005 to 2014. Mark has presented seminars at a national and state level on various legal topics. Mark has also contributed to Butterworths Legal Publication and is an author of the Queensland Law Hand Book. He is a former chair of the Equalising Opportunities in Law Committee.
In 2012 Mark was appointed to a three year tenure as one of the Dean’s representatives on the Griffith Law School Visiting Committee which provides advice and guidance to the Executive Committee of the Griffith Law School. Mark is one of the appointed persons to represent children in legal proceedings as an Independent Children’s Lawyer by Legal Aid Queensland.
Mark is also a member of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland.
