Matthew Hammond has been in the practice for over 20 years and leads our firms Criminal Law and Racing Team. Matthew is a strong advocate and has significantly developed the two practice areas where he and his team handles each matter quickly and realistically for their clients.
Matthew oversees all of the firm’s criminal matters, providing vital tactical guidance to ensure the best outcome for all those involved. His reputation among the Courts is exceptional and revered. Matthew’s matter-of-fact approach and personality has seen clients returning to him since the beginning of his career.
Matthew is a leader in the Harness Racing industry and is well-known at the Stewards Inquiries and Appeals Tribunal. Being a former trainer, driver and owner in the Harness Racing industry provides him and his team with the inside know-how to deliver outstanding success in all jurisdictions. As at 2018, the team has been successful in 12 straight Appeals before the NSW Racing Appeals Tribunal.
Away from work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and is still a proud North Sydney Bears fan.
