Michele is a highly qualified law specialist with over 25 years of experience and knowledge in succession law (Wills & Estates) and family law. In the highly complex area of Succession Law, Michele is diligent, thorough and immensely practical in the provision of legal advice and the application of the law. Michele's approach goes beyond technical advice and guidance as she provides emotional understanding and support to her clients.
Michele has extensive experience working in these areas of law with families and businesses (in particular grazing and farming businesses) across a broad range of backgrounds extending throughout Queensland. Michele is passionate about achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Michele is regarded as a leading authority in Australia with respect to her understanding of how succession and family law issues can overlap, particularly where such issues affect blended families.
Michele is presently the only solicitor in Queensland who is accredited by the Queensland Law Society as both a Family Law specialist and a Succession Law (Wills and Estate) specialist.
She is the past chairperson of the Queensland Law Society Specialist Accreditation Board. Michele is a long serving member of the Queensland Law Society Succession Law Committee and the international specialist association known as Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP). She has presented numerous papers and chaired many seminars throughout her career and was commissioned by the College of Law to write their will making study guide (which is still in use).
Outside of the office, Michele enjoys playing tennis and is a keen swimmer having participated previously in the Noosa Triathlon (she and her two sisters won the silver medal in the women's team event for their age group). Michele is also an avid reader.
