Nicole Evans is the Managing Director of Barker Evans, a boutique law firm in the Sydney CBD.
Nicole develops long standing relationships with her clients and has particular expertise in criminal and family law cases involving allegations of indecent/sexual assault/domestic violence and same-sex parenting matters.
With over 25 years of experience, Nicole has earned a reputation as an empathetic and determined advocate for her clients. Nicole is a Collaboratively trained family lawyer and can assist family law clients in Collaborative Practice.
Nicole is the author of Lesbians & The Law: A Guidebook for Australian Families, the first book published in Australia in 2017 for same sex couples navigating the laws of parenthood in Australia. The book helps to educate both the legal and lay community on the changing legal landscape of family structures.
In September 2025, Nicole was named as a Finalist in the Inside Family Law Awards 2025. In the Doyle’s Guide Nicole Evans was rated by her peers as a Recommended NSW Estate Litigation Lawyer.
