Paul Hamilton, Anderson Fredericks Turner

Paul Hamilton has over 15 years experience practising exclusively in criminal law and traffic law. With a wealth of experience, Paul has represented countless clients as a solicitor advocate in sentence proceedings, bail applications, committal hearings and trials.

Paul has experience in representing individuals in the Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal in Queensland. He has a special interest in police powers, and in challenging the lawfulness of police searches. His expertise has resulted in prosecutions being discontinued prior to going to trial. In cases where prosecutions have not been discontinued as a result of negotiations, Paul has successfully sought court rulings to declare searches unlawful and any evidence seized inadmissible.

Prior to joining Anderson Fredericks Turner to lead its Beenleigh Office, Paul was employed as a senior criminal solicitor for a well-established Gold Coast firm for 13 years. With a focus on work in Beenleigh and the Gold Coast, Paul enjoys working in his local communities as well as undertaking significant work in Brisbane.
